McNally’s commercial pump product line is focused on Northern Pump® products for both new rotary gear pumps, spare parts and overhaul and repair pumps serving the chemical processing industry, the coating industry, precision metering applications, power generation facilities, the food service industry, oil refineries and pipelines, and the medical device and pharmaceutical industries. Heavy duty gear pumps are available in all shapes and sizes. Northern's modular design allows us to customize a gear
pump for to a specific application. Our engineers oversee the design, manufacture and testing at our state-of-the-art Wisconsin facility.
McNally’s military pump product line is focused on products including new pumps, spare parts and overhaul and repair pumps serving the United States Navy and ground forces.
We have developed and designed a new coolant pump for the U.S. Navy to a performance specification for the Phalanx Close-In Weapon System (CIWS). Since the inception of the McNally pump we have supported the Phalanx system with more than 900 coolant pumps and continue to supply new and overhauled units. The Phalanx Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) is an anti-missile system manufactured by Raytheon Company and used by the United States Navy on every class of surface combat ship in its fleet and by the navies of twenty-three allied nations.
McNally Industries supports the U.S. Navy by supplying nuclear coolant charging pumps which supply makeup water to the reactor's secondary loop. These pumps are used on both the CVN class aircraft carriers, SSN 688 class submarines and SSN 21 class submarines. Each of these pumps contains hundreds of part numbers and weighs thousands of pounds. All require the same kind of logistical support and even more documentation and supporting detail than any other ordnance work we have ever done.
McNally has also designed and developed a lubricating pump system for the upgrade/modernization plan for the Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV). This new design brings the current 600 horsepower design to an 800 horsepower configuration.
